On Wednesday, December 23, 2020, the SATREPS DREAM (DREAM/Area-BCM) Project held the 5th Steering Committee meeting in a 201A meeting room of the Centennial Memorial Building, Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University. The purpose of the meeting was to provide progress report on project implementation and discuss the 2020-2021 planned activities.
On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Chakkaphan Sutthirat, Vice President for Research Affairs at Chulalongkorn University and Chairman of the meeting delivered opening remarks. Then, Prof. Dr. Supot Teachavorasinskun, Dean of Faculty of Engineering at Chulalongkorn University and Director of SATREPS DREAM (Area-BCM) Project delivered welcoming remarks to participants from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT), Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM), and the project.
The Master of Ceremony of the meeting, Asst. Prof. Dr Supattra Visessri from the Department of Water Resources Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, proceeded to call for keynote representatives to present the project progress. The presentation was sequenced into 4 research groups as follows:
- Development of Flood Inundation Model for the Industrial Parks presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Anurak Sriariyawat,
- Community Research presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sutee Anantsuksomsri,
- Business Impact Analysis presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Tartat Mokkhamakkul,
- Area-BCM Establishment and Dissemination presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Natt Leelawat.
Hence, the summary of the project monitoring was presented by Mr. Miura Yoshiaki, the Project Coordinator from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)
Consequently, the meeting moved on to the Q&A and suggestion session on the project operation and the closing ceremony with the remarks delivered by Professor Dr. Chakkaphan Sutthirat, who congratulated and encouraged all the members dedicating to this project. Finally, the group photo was taken to mark the completion of the 5th Steering Committee Meeting of the SATREPS DREAM (DREAM/Area-BCM) Project.
