On 1-6 August 2021, Asia Oceania Geosciences Society (AOGS) organized a virtual conference to present and discuss research-based knowledge in several different geo-scientific and natural hazard-related fields among experts and scholars in those fields. Within the conference, there were free webinars, plenary talks, panel discussions, and 8 session proposal presentations covering the following topics: Atmospheric Sciences (AS), Biogeosciences (BG), Hydrological Sciences (HS), Interdisciplinary Geosciences (IG), Ocean Sciences (OS), Planetary Sciences (PS), Solar & Terrestrial Sciences (ST), and Solid Earth Sciences (SE).

On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Anurak Sriariyawat from Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, and Dr. Mamoru Miyamoto from Public Work Research Institute, Japan, collaborated to convene and chair the session of Flood Disaster Management for Industrial and Community Sectors under the Hydrological Sciences session. The session was honored for the opportunity of having Mr. Takahiro Sayama as an invited speaker from Disaster Prevention Research Institute, Kyoto University, for the research abstract titled Development of a Nationwide Rainfall-Runoff-Inundation Model in Japan for Flood Forecasting and Risk Assessment, with the co-authorship of Masahumi YAMADA from the same affiliation, Yoshito SUGAWARA and Ayato YAMAKITA from Graduate School of Engineering, Kyoto University, Japan. The session included vigorous participation of several SATREPS DREAM (Area-BCM) project members both from Japan and Thailand sides with a total of 10 abstract presentations as follows.
